MECHANICAL FACE SEALS

Heavy Duty Seals for Construction Machinery for extreme conditions

CSL 1500 is a unique innovative seal that incorporates opposing sprung lips and a stacked design to reduce friction and wear, extending seal life while improving contaminant exclusion and static sealing ability.
Originally designed for agricultural and construction equipment, the CSL 1500 has been vigorously tested in the laboratory and field to prove reliability. The seal has completed 3,000 hours of slurry and hot oil testing as well as over a year of grueling field service without leakage.

For Heavy duty applications, runs cooler and longer

The seal’s patented design combines a polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) sealing lip with a rubber jacket and a stable shape forming metal part. For the majority of the time, the sealing lip is just held against the sealing surface, activating when the application requires.
Turcon® Roto L reduces shaft run-in significantly due to the material properties of the Turcon® M12 sealing lip. When combined with the zero friction encountered when the seal is not activated, the result is a seal life that is at least four times longer.
