Our Malta facility recently added 500 photovoltaic panels, leveraging the country's abundant sunshine to enhance solar power generation. This addition builds on a previous installation of 1200 panels in 2013, with the system now expected to produce 323,000KWh annually, covering 15% of the unit's energy needs and saving 210 tons of CO2. Another 809 panels have also been installed at a different facility, further committing to solar energy, the fastest-growing renewable source. This project contributes to the 7th United Nations goal to "Ensure access to affordable, reliable, sustainable and modern energy for all." Learn more here👉 https://bit.ly/4dlYkLj Neville Grima, Maintenance Services & EHS Manager at Trelleborg Sealing Solutions Malta, states, "With the unwavering commitment of my team members Wayne Gregoraci, Paul Attard, Christian Cassar, and Fiona Darmanin Tedesco, we've achieved a significant milestone. 🏃♀️🏃♂️ On Sunday, Trelleborg Sealing Solutions employees laced up their running shoes and joined the Ditzinger Lebenslauf, a charity run in Stuttgart to support patients with cystic fibrosis. Learn more: https://bit.ly/3y7QN2f. For over 15 years, we have been participating in and sponsoring this charity run. It's a matter of the heart, and every year, we see many employees stepping up to "run for life" as "Lebenslauf" suggests. This year, over 50 employees ran together over 700 km. Cystic fibrosis, a hereditary disease affecting around 8,000 people in Germany, is caused by a gene mutation that thickens body gland secretions, impacting lung and pancreatic function. This leads to impaired lung ventilation and frequent infections. Participating in this run contributes to the 3rd goal of the Sustainable Development Group "Good Health and Well-Being." “It's inspiring to see our team come together for such a meaningful cause for over 15 years now. We're grateful that we get the chance to participate and support local and social projects that benefit our community. Together, we can make a difference 💪!”, says Laura Wichert & Lara Hecht from the European Marketing & Communications Team.
